*lol*

Richard can never be a "failure";) So *yay* for pretty gifs.

Awesome women... let me think. I like awesome female characters as well but have to admit that I'm more drawn to men;)

Do you know "The # 1 Ladie's Detective Agency"? It's old but I love the characters and the female main character. It has only 6 episodes + a pilot but is based on a book series with much more adventures.

I haven't watched it yet but my f-list goes bonkers over "Agent Carter" - there we have a female heroine as well.

One of my feel good series is "Call the Midwife" - an all female cast.

Of course "Miranda" <3 - although you know this one already. It's the one series that is able to always cheer me up when I'm down.

There were two "nurses during the war" series last year - "Anzac Girls" and "The Crimson Field". I liked them both but have to admit that they're a bit slow paced. But both have all female casts as well and I liked them.

"My Mad Fat Diary" has a great female protagonist as well but the series is mainly about "growing up and being an akward teenager".

Of course there's also "Orange is the New Black". I bingewatched both seasons and couldn't stop.

I recommended some of them already in my journal. So maybe you have seen it before.

I loved The Bletchley Circle, but there aren't enough eps and it's a bit creepy to revisit. Not so "feel good", kwim?

I hated the book #1 Ladies Detective Agency, so no interest there.

I keep seeing stuff about Agent Carter. Problem is, Avengers stuff just doesn't hook me. Like, it's ok, but I walk away uninvested.

I watched one ep of Call the Midwife and ran screaming. Not my cuppa :(

Oooh, I should see if I can find Miranda. It does look awesome.

Hunh, I will have to see Anzac Girls and The Crimson Field, even if they are about war.

MMFD looks amazing. I don't think I really have a good way to watch it.

:( I don't think I can watch OitNB even though everyone raves about it. That's ok. I don't seem to have mainstream tastes, even in fandom.

Thanks!

If you didn't like Call the Midwife you probably won't like Anzac Girls or The Crimson Fields. Both have kind of the same vibe IMO. But you could try one episode each and then decide.

Miranda is just lovelovelovelovelove! But you have to like her kind of humor which is quite bold. But obviously I do:) And you're lucky because the last two episodes just aired this christmas/New Year. You don't have to wait over a year (almost two) between each seasons.

MMFD is amazing. I had so much fun with the series although I was still cringing from second hand embarassment from time to time. But that's part of the concept.

Gonna PM you with some source suggestions;)

The clips I've seen of Miranda and MMFD have been lovely.
