What made you get into quilting?
Short answer: my husband. After we got married, he told me I needed a hobby (other than reading). I had no idea what to do, looked around, had a couple friends who sewed and decided to give that a try. I sewed casual clothes for about two years and then got into the quilting. It was a slippery slope after that!
How did you first hear about Merlin?
I found it on Hulu when I was looking for something to watch while folding laundry!
What was your favorite book when you were a kid? Is it the same as your favorite book today?
Well, probably Ring of Endless Light by Madeleine L'Engle. I don't think I have a favorite book any more. I have so many stories and authors I just love, although my reading has tanked in the last couple years between declining vision and uptick in sewing :D
I know you prefer listening to talk radio, but do you have a go-to song or band for when you're tired? frustrated? happy?
Nope. When I'm really tired, I like to lie in bed and listen to whatever comfort show is the current comfort show and play solitaire. Used to be Merlin. It's now Outlander. If I'm happy and in just the right mood, I'll put on the bluegrass station. Otherwise, I'd rather sing with other people rather than just listen to music.
