I am dragging my kids to see this on Friday. Hopefully the bribe of lunch at a place they like to eat where I never take them will work....

I just watched australian X-Factor in which one of the contestants is 14 years old and she should sing a song from the movie "Grease" and had no idea what that even was. She first thought her mentor meant she should sing a song from "Greece". *lol*

/o\ Grease is a pretty common musical for high schools to do around here, so at least the kids around here know it. My kids don't, but kids in general do. :D

If the "turtle" joke was an innuendo I don't get it. *gg*

Nope! It's a reference to the books my username comes from, actually :D The Liaden Universe books.

I guess there's a certain appeal to it when you have better technology. I love the Ghostbusters movies but compared with the things you can do today the special effects are very 80's. Would love to see who they take for Janine's role.

I don't always think better special effects = better. I was so impressed with Merlin in the first season when they were using tin cans and sticks for props. (I exaggerate, but you get my meaning.) The acting was EVERYTHING.
