Adorable

Last night I took my mom to the Apple store to buy her a new iPhone. The guy who was helping us buy the phone was freaking adorable. He was very personable and chatty. We were talking about being tired and he suggested that we could go to the Brookstone store and "try out" the beds. I asked him if he liked those beds and he said something about Temperpedic and I was like, that stuff is too soft.  I told him how I went and bought the hardest mattress at a local mattress store a few years ago and we love it.  He then told us that he was from Pakistan originally and his parents basically slept on the floor when they lived there. When they moved here, they found the beds waaaay too soft.  He made some comment about them still liking really hard beds and he expressed some sort of disdain for that.  I asked him about his bed, was it hard, and he was like, "My bed is fit for a princess."  I nearly died. So cute!  I haven't talked to someone that cute in ages.

In other news,
kalakirya and I co-podded a Sleepy Hollow fic yesterday.  Squeeee! Can't wait to edit it and figure out some music for it and get it posted.  If anyone wants to suggest a theme song for a BAMFY Abbie Mills, I'm open to suggestions. I might have the music sorted, but yeah, open to suggestions.  Co-podding with my kids home was hilarious too because they went out to play in the snow and K looked at me and said podfic (or something like that). It felt very suggestive, like, hey, the kids are gone, quick, let's go have sex. So, I bring her into my bedroom (favorite place to pod) and drag out the laptop and mic (which felt rather like bringing out the sex toys) and then we sit and I try to bring up Garageband and it is taking forever and we finally get started and we get 2 minutes recorded and the kids come back. Ugh. Then they go out again. Then they come back in. They finally left and we were able to complete it, but it did feel rather like coitus interruptus there for a while. It was really fun to co-pod.
kalakirya does a luscious man's voice.

Ok, school is two hours delayed today, but my kitchen is a mess (I didn't have any time to deal with it yesterday), so off I go. Hope maybe one of these stories has amused you. I will be smiling about both for quite a while:D
