Popping in
Hi! I've been enjoying the pictures of stage door from Mojo and all that excitement, but I've mostly had my head down in quilting mode the last week.
I meant to get my serger out yesterday, but I cleaned The Lab/organized some stuff instead and then decided to buy an iPhone, so that pretty much sucked up the rest of the day. Clearly there are things I do not understand about it. Like, why can't I text to email any more? I only did that with two people, but it was very convenient. I guess it's because I have access to email now? Also, I used Waze today as a GPS and fell in love. I can see how it would be distracting with points etc, but if you use it as traffic news and navigator, I think it's great (at least in my area).
Today I spent the morning at Sunday School and then had a crafty afternoon with
lizcommotion and my friend E. EEEEE. E made a yak or two. One of the yaks features fibres from Liz and it's freaking adorable. I can't wait to see how she finishes it. Liz also gave me some wooly stuff and I am going to make one seasonally appropriate quilt -- Santa. *crosses fingers and hopes the execution works*
I now have four totally finished quilts that are ready to sell. If I want, I could add to one or two of them (spider web is getting beads, but not tons). I think I need to update my gallery b/c I made a tree and another starfish that you guys have not seen, I believe.
In other interesting news (and by this I mean ACTUALLY interesting),
alee_grrl has written a paper on asexuality and the law. What Do You Mean You're Not Interested in Sex?: American Life and Law from an Asexual Perspective
