This question might sound stupid but what kind of grenade was it?
I mean... in Germany we still have at least once a year an old bomb which they usually find during construction work from WW II. That's frightening - especially because they're much more instable because of their age - but still something we hear from time to time (although it's more than 50 years since the war ended). But a "inert grenade" sounds more like an idiot who planted it there on purpose.
It's not stupid at all. I have no idea what sort of grenade it was. That was all they said in the news. I'm just glad it was inert and nothing happened. I like to think I live in a sleepy little town where nothing exciting ever happens.
