So, I've just come to the conclusion that people are not paying attention.  I just got a very sweet review on ff.net on the fic I posted today and the person said she can't wait to see what happens next.  Um, trouble is, I am a mean old bitch and I have no intention of following up on the awful cliffhanger I left it with

Good god. Depends on how you count, but to me, the first movie is the one that came out in 1977 and that's what we are watching. The prequels, the ones that came out in the late 90's do not exist to me:D We are purists about our geekery here.

Thank you! I am of the mind that the second set of movies do not exist. Neither are the "new and improved" old movies with the added scenes and stuff.

(I still remember seeing "Star Wars" in the movie theater...my older sister took me and we were late getting there. We walked in on the scene where C3PO and R2D2 just got jettisoned onto Tatooine and they are walking through the desert...)

LOL...sorry to ruin your night! They had the unedited ones at Walmart a while back and I made sure I grabbed them while they were still out. I had heard that George Lucas wouldn't be releasing the movies WITHOUT those scenes anymore... *shrugs*

But now that Disney owns Star Wars, that may no longer be true!

We bought used ones from someone who smoked, unfortunately. I will have to see if they have deleted scenes or what. No worries. It's all good here.
