Flaky wifi
I'm on the train. Hoping to be home in a couple hours, where the wifi isn't so flaky. I'm so frustrated. Sorry 
nightfox , I tried commenting on your fic, but the connection was too unstable and it was driving me mad.

I'll update this later when I get home. NYC was awesome. We all had a great time.
ETA: I am home. We had some excitement. People missed getting off the Amtrak in Baltimore because some old guy could not get off the train fast enough. It was a little surreal. Then we were all freaked out that we would miss our connection on the metro because we missed the first train by seconds. We saw it pulling away. But, we made that train, shew.
Here's where things got weird. Some guy started chatting us up and by us, I mean my 7 year old. I could not really tell what was going on, but I didn't like him talking to her. I think my daughter asked him where he was going and he said he was going the opposite direction from where we were headed. It took some convincing, but he finally got the message. At some point, I started to wonder if he was going to believe us and if he would get off the train. I was quite relieved when he did.
So, we lost one metro card, almost got a kid squished in the doors of the NY subway, had some "interesting" encounters, but those were teeny little blips on the radar. It was a great trip.
