Head to the grindstone

I've had my head to the grindstone the last two days, trying to churn out my merlin_holidays  story.  I've got almost 5K and the end is in sight!  Just two more scenes to do, which could possibly be another 2K, but maybe not.  *thud*  So, apparently starting from scratch was the right thing to do in this case.  Yay!

Heya, bb! Just checking in on my lunch hour from work. Got some stuff done yesterday, but still stuck on NBA (am jealous of your industriousness!)...

I was going to heads up you on that new pic that gaelach_ros posted last night, but I see you already saw it. Do I get half credit on the Shot Of Colin picture guess? RC did pick one from that set, but not the one I thought she'd choose...

Actually, I wonder why she chose that picture? *shrugs*

I was completely stuck on my story, until I started it over and went with the story that wanted to be told.

You see, my big problem is that my last chapter ended with Gaius telling Arthur that Nimueh is dead and that Merlin is responsible. Now, I am trying to decide if I want to: A) have Gaius make it sound like more of an accident (since he is not going to actually out Merlin's magic) or B) Gaius tells Arthur that Dragoon was also there and that Dragoon actually took Nimueh out. Sigh. It's killing me.

I got bit hard by a new plot bunny and have been brainstorming with another author over it all day *head desk*

In good news, my sister left this morning and won't be back till tomorrow! \o/

I have all day & night to write, as long as I can get my head out of the new story (which is a super dark Arthur/Merlin/Mordred piece) /o\ Why does this happen to me? I swear I have ADD for writing!!

I was having that problem until I got on the right track. I've got 5K of story down now! I just have a little bit left. Might be 2K more. Maybe.

Woo hoo!! Go you! *\o/* Whip that fic out!!

I was so on the right track yesterday, at least it felt right. This new bunny attacked me while I was half asleep this morning. I originally thought I could whip in out in under 2k, or about 2-3 hours of writing and be done with it. But no, I had to tell someone about it and she had to glom onto my "what if?" ideas and encourage me to expand them until this new bunny is going to be another long-ass fic!

So, brainstorming that is over, now I can try and get my over-caffeinated brain back into my MHols project...hopefully!

You did see the title of this post, right? My head is hurting a little. So is my back, from sitting so much. Good thing the rain stopped and I'll get a little walk in to pick up the kids.
