Thanks! I hate to see how bitter Merlin has become. I'd like to think they can both be redeemed at this point. Maybe Kilgharrah didn't really see Arthur's death at Mordred's hand. Expect a dozen more scenarios from me over the coming weeks:D
I could get past Kilgharrah's predictions because he didn't outright say Mordred would kill Arthur but I have a harder time dismissing what the Seer showed Merlin right before he died...
Yeah. I know. I don't know how they are going to get out of it, but I am thinking they will at this point. I've sort of pieced that together from a couple things Alex has said.
Definitely! I love the subtlety that Alex brings to the role. In one of the interviews he said the directors or producers would sometimes correct him in how he was playing Mordred because it wasn't ambiguous enough. He's really just a lovely addition to the show all around:D
Yes. I know it's very short. I wanted to dash this out for archeaologist_d's birthday and just play with this idea a little. I think I will probably write a few more variations on this.
Hah! That's because that last line is from The Police song. *high fives you*
Yes, it's an excellent question. I saw a different fic where someone spun it a little differently, but basically the same question. How can Merlin act on information he knows about the future, especially when he knows what doing that has done in the past.
HEEEE. *bats eyelashes innocently* Did I? I think it's Alex's fault, not mine, but I'm happy to take credit. Oooh, I see your birthday is coming up. I'd love to write you a little birthday fic. Want to give me a Mordred prompt? I can't do pr0n the way you do, but I'll see what I can do. If you want a story with Mordred and Kilgharrah, I'd love to explore that!
Ok. I'm soooo sorry but that last line cracked me up - I immediately had Phil Collin's "Every breath you'll take, every move you'll make" in my head *hums*
Otherwise I loved it. You captured the dynamic between these two very well. And very clever to defeat Merlin with his own weapons. The "Things are not always what they appear to be" comment hit a nerve.

As for Mordred, he's definitely an ambiguous character and could be played any number of ways. Loving the subtle way Alex is playing him, too!

Oooh, fun! That sounds great, actually. I missed Mordred in 5.03. I'll think about it. I'll try to post by Sunday before you go to bed.
