Geeky girls
I was thinking about how when I was growing up in the '80s, there weren't a whole lot of girls reading scifi/fantasy. I think in my high school class of 350, there were only 5-10 of us. Maybe.
I'm wondering about your experiences growing up geeky. Did you feel more instep with the boys in some ways? I hung out with the mathletes, not because I was good at math, but because they were interested in way more interesting things than the girls I knew were.
