Just curious what you think about Aithusa's sex.

Anything else you want me to talk about?  Anything you want to talk about?  I'm exhausted and falling asleep, but I want to try to write a little.  I spent a couple hours sewing today.  I should try to spend at least 10 minutes writing:D

Kilgharrah said it was a he but I'm thinking that the dragon could become male or female depending on whether they need to repopulate, like some animals do. :D

I just watched that part and didn't think Kilgharrah used any gendered pronouns when talking about Aithusa.

Maybe your theory is right though.

ETA: just rewatched those last two minutes again and Kilgharrah does say "you've named him after the light of the sun" or something along those lines. Grrrr.

*snort* I think it must have been a mistake on the writer's part. *nods head* This is what I'm telling myself. Unless male dragons can produce fertilized eggs all by themselves *insert eye roll here*.

I get that this is a very male focused show (and I LOVE THAT), but really, this is a stupid mistake. We could have a female dragon and it would be FANTASTIC. (Sorry to shout. I'm a little worked up about this, can you tell? It's just a show about imaginary stuff. I need to relax.):D

I was totally wondering about the dragonlord line too, especially this last time I watched that last two minutes....

I like collaborating. If you wanted to try to write something together, it could be fun.

I like this idea that there is an errant mum out there who can sense her newborn babe. It's my new head canon in fact. Because Kilgharrah can't mate with a baby. That's ridiculous.

I was thinking it would be a girl since Kilgharrah was all "omg I can bring back my species", but apparently that's a dude dragon, so I guess magical butt sex is going to repopulate the dragons XD

Did you see archaeologist_d's explanation? Aside from the normal explanation (that the writers/producers screwed up), it's the only thing that makes sense. Unless, he was just flat out wrong. *scrubs head in confusion*

Given Kilgharrah said 'You have named HIM' I think male until proven otherwise.

Maybe Kilgharrah got it wrong, or perhaps he used the male pronoun by default but I would have thought he would know.

Hopefully we will see Aithusa again and get an answer.
