I had a day

Feb 26, 2009 21:27

and now I'm going to bed.  Or soon anyway.

I woke up at 6:15.  I don't know what the deal with waking so early is.  I'm going to try to get up later tomorrow.  I got DD1 off to school and came home and cleaned up in the kitchen and started laundry and made blueberry muffins.  Then I put the spread out for my tea for my friend.  People started showing up at 10 and the last person left at 2!  Thud.  Plus the phone kept ringing:P  So, I had about an hour before I had to go pick up DD1 and I guess I finished cleaning up from the tea party and then we raced out to the library before picking up DD1 and her friend.

They had a good time, although they checked in with me a couple times about what they could do and after having eaten popcorn and a piece of fruit, they were angling for chips with melted cheese but since it was about five minutes to five, I said no.  (I'm so mean, right?:P).

At about 5:40, I gave up on dh getting home in time to eat dinner with him, so I ate.  (The girls had basically already eaten by this time).  He missed his bus (it came early), so he got home really late and didn't stop at the grocery store:(  Now I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner tomorrow with what I've got on hand.  I'm not sure I can.  I think I'm going to have to go to the store:P

I had a little down time and then cleaned up in the kitchen a little (very minimally).  I thought about going to bed at 8:30, but there was laundry all over my bed and I thought it was too early, so I punted and folded laundry and watched two TED talks.

So, now I'm going to put the girls' clothes in their dresser and go collapse.  I wish I didn't have to make dinner tomorrow, but it must be done.  Hopefully I can get some sewing done too.  And a nap.  I really need a nap.  I think.

Oh, one cute story about DD1's friend.  K had a little cartridge for an old Gameboy and I asked her what she was going to do with it and she said she was keeping it for an antique.  LOL!  There's so much irony there.  And she was really serious.  Her mother thinks it's ridiculous, but I think it's hilarious.
