Subject: A Letter Under Your Pillow
==============================================================================
Dear Piper,

I wanted to write you something, because of course, we don't know what's going to happen when those eggs hatch. So, here I am writing and you're over on your cot sort of sleeping and I'm trying really hard to write neatly so you won't have any trouble reading it.

I guess I just want you to know that I care about you - as more than just a friend. The other night in the gardens, I really wanted to kiss you, but I didn't want to get you in trouble, so I didn't. But you were so pretty with the moonlight on your face and you smelled really nice that it was really hard not to.

You're just so wonderful Piper and every day I hope we get put on the same duties so I can see you more. I'm not nervous so much about the eggs hatching, but I can't help wondering what will happen when they do. Will one of us Impress? Both? Neither? And if we don't ... there's something I think I might want to ask you. I guess I'm more nervous about asking that. But I'll ask anyway. Won't you stay? I guess it's silly of me to ask ... because I know what I want to do and you don't, but Bakers don't have to be in one particular place to train all the time so I can go almost anywhere.

** The letter breaks off here and the careful writing he'd been using breaks off, a few spaces down, the letter picks up again, written in a slightly different color and scrawled more hastily as if he were trying to finish it off before the morning.**
Piper .... does amazing even begin to cover it? I think I might just burst I'm so happy. No matter what happens, you will always be in my heart. I hope we'll get to have at least a few more walks together before the dragons break shell - I may just go mad from not being able to touch you before our next one. I walked by your cot just now on the way to mine and it was all I could do not to stop and run my hand through your hair. Waiting impatiently to find out our fate,

Love, Padraig
