OOC: Character Inspiration
Paddy's is boring. Because he was born 'on-camera' his inspiration was basically a combination of his parents' traits. Namely: What would a son of Emilly and G'rad be like?
Paddy inherited the following traits:
* Laid-back (G'rad)
* Talent for cooking (Both sides of the family)
* Dark hair/complexion (G'rad)
* Light eyes (Emilly)
* Open mind (Driven by his upbringing)
* Good manners (Taught by Emilly)
* Propensity toward a certain amount of cluelessness (G'rad)
* Height (Emilly)
* Build - more thick-set than some of his other siblings (G'rad)
Also, Paddy has gone through a couple of played-bys. Check out his userpics for pics of Young Paddy for the original. I had Eddie Cahill who plays Don Flack on CSI:NY in there for a bit, but his build is too slender. The way Cahill moves though, the longer face, strong jaw and especially his little sideways grin are very Paddy.
Mr. Bellani who is his current played-by is not /quite/ right either, but had blue-gray eyes that shade silver in some photos and the darker complexion and really dark hair. He's a little too hot and his face is a little too short, but from some angles/in some photos it looks about right and he's got the 'muscles' factor without being too beefy.
Paddy's been broad-shouldered and built 'solid' since he was 13, taking after his father. He was pretty stocky as a young teen until he went through a growth spurt. I've often described him as "G'rad stretched out" since G'rad was pretty much a 'square' build-wise once he grew up. G'rad's player sometimes pointed to Joseph Fiennes for a played-by for his char, only built like a rock instead of a willow.
