(I wrote this last night, yet forgot to post it. So pretend it's still Sunday night.)
It's been a while since I've updated. I know everyone is dying to read about my fabulous life. And by everyone, I mean I'm pretty sure no one really reads this haha. Sooo, quick recap...I'm finally 21
My birthday was awesome. At midnight Kim, Kayt, Crystal & John, and Dianna & Jon came out to Landmark with me. Met up with a few AXPs there. Had about 5 drinks, and a red-headed slut by Dianna's insistance, requested Nsync "Tearin' up my heart", only to have the boys start singing it. Haha. It was good times. I got a lot of pirate-related gifts, which is awesome. I've also been to the bars at least 4 times since my birthday, and haven't yet paid for a drink, which is even better, hehe.
School sucks. I never have enough time in a day to do things I need. Having 6 classes is more than hard and I, unfortunately, no longer have any interest in doing work...I should probably fix that. The only upside to school is that next semester has great potential to be much easier. So far I only have class Monday, Tues/Thurs (If I switch my astronomy it will only be Tues/Thurs) I only really have to worry about Ad Campaigns and Astronomy. Other than that I have Practicum, in which, from my understanding, we do next to nothing, Elements of Dance...
did I really sign up for that class? Apparently yes. lol That should be interesting, and if I don't like it, it will be replaced with another easy elective. And Field Experience AKA internship, which is kind of scary for me, because I've really had no experience in the advertising business yet. I guess you always have to start some place. We shall see about that...
Speaking of the Ad world, AWNY is this week. We leave Friday for NYC. About 40 of us Ad students get on a bus (or 2?) and head to NY for an overnight trip to the city, with meetings and workshop-type deals with major names in the business. That's also kind of intimidating for me. But I have to learn to put myself out there and be assertive. I am in every other aspect of my life, why not in business? Hehe. In a side note, we are 40 ridiculous Ad students who all (mostly) love each other, dropped in the middle of Manhattan with a free night...I hope it is as amazing and fun as it sounds.
Enough about school. I saw Borat last week with Holly. This movie is completely racist, sexist, anti-semetic, politically incorrect and repulsive, yet absolutely hysterical. I can't explain it other than to say, it's out of control.
Football has thoroughly disappointed me today. The Giants have a gigantic list of injured players (Toomer, Arrington, Short, Umenyora, Strahan, etc.) yet I still had faith in them and they still looked great during the first half. The rest of the game...not so much. I knew it would be a challenge because they played the Bears AKA
Brian URLACHER. I've stated since the beginning, that man is a BEAST defensively, and I love him.
He will make you his bitch, aaand I think I'm okay with that
Haha. It was an unusual 2nd half for the Giants since that's normally where they do their best work, but no one can blame them considering the amount of players they had out and the pressure that was put on them. On a sideline note...John Madden is a complete buffoon. Sometimes I wonder if he listens to himself talk. It's quite humorous. But I still love Chris Berman's commentary. It makes me incredibly happen to listen to the weekends recaps on ESPN.
Today I wrote a letter to the NY Giants...it goes as follows:
Dear Giants,
Could you please stop getting injured? It would be greatly appreciated, and probably be more beneficial to the team. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Rachel
In closing for Sunday: I've done much Christmas shopping but NO school work all weekend, the Eagles and their fans are dirty trash talkers (It's really attractive. Go wash your mouths...), the Giants need to pull it together and they could still have a great chance, I highly regret eating Pizza Hut for dinner. My stomach apparently did not appreciate that very much either. That is my update. Apologies for the ramblings lol. G'night from an only semi-sane Rachel.
