spinning

i've become spoiled with my free time, chill time, idle luxury. my school is in danger of closing due to politics of a board that has no clue and a president who is trying to make it something it is not nor should it ever be. the vote is on Monday and it makes me sad that the doors might close. i'll be fine. my degree is guaranteed but this school, this amazing school has propelled and changed the world of child development and social change. about sixty percent of all people who hold a masters in child/human development are from my school. if such an amazing institution can produce, encourage and inspire such greatness, how sad is it that we are helmed by a group of people who aren't getting it?

because of all this, this urgency to create and save my school, i am trying to find people willing to sign a slip of paper that i can turn into a chain of support. it is not a pretest, it is a support, a visual of the support that is out there. too many people fear adding their name to a link, this makes me sad. i'm also head of the valentine committee to create thirty, beautiful, handmade (pop-up) valentine's. one for each member of the board. to show them that we count, we care and are willing to create change to save our school. we're having a love fest on Saturday to get others to sign them and hopefully add a link to the chain. it has been a busy few days with the planning and the networking and add that to everything else like the construction going on here, my darn bronchitis, the need to make more for the shop and keeping up with family and friends, i feel like my wheels are spinning. if only they were attached to this lovely bike and i could take a ride around somewhere pretty...

soon though, it will be all over and classes will start up and i'll be in paper writing mode again. for now, i ask if you are willing to sign a slip of virtual paper to show your support for me and my school. if you are, you can email it to me at go0gle mail. i'm jekinthebox. thank you!
