My thoughts on.....My Girl (Yamada Ryosuke and Arioka Daiki sub-unit)
It was a fine 5:30 in the morning when a tweet woke me up, and it was a sneak peak? preview? or a taste of what Yama-chan and Dai-chan's song would be for their new album 'DEAR'
I clicked on the video and had the first taste, or first hear of the song. and I went to instant hyper mode.
Before I start fangirling, I remembered a conversation with my sister over a dinner date with her what Dai-chan's and Yama-chan's song would be.
I told my sister that Yama-chan would probably play with their strengths and not do a song that would not be compatible with them. Knowing that this two people are incredible entertainers, they can SING-Legit singers not those run in the mill auto-tune, computer generated angelic voices. And one can't deny that they can also dance.
I will fight anyone who says Hey!Say!Jump can't sing and dance.
Back to the song, it was incredible. I will just give out on my own thoughts don't be too trusting with me cause I suck at music.
But base from my incredible(weird) music taste, what my first thoughts were the beat is good, the rhythm is flowing and the music and lyrics of the song matches Yama-chan's voice and Dai-chan's rapping skills.
Now, I sent a link to my sister and I emailed her this:
*laughs* I like how they the song have a western RnB feel to it,a tinge of how some K-pop songs are but it SHOUTS this is Yamada Ryosuke and Arioka Daiki's song. It doesn't really have that Johnny feel to it but it's incredible.
*My sister hasn't replied yet*
I'm pretty excited for the new album, I have already requested a friend of mine to buy the album and DVD's for me. ehehe
