Fall rolls in

We've been keeping busy here!

Last week, a friend and former roommate of mine came to visit us in PA. It was really nice to see her again. I got to show her around the county and we ate some genuine country food :) We were happy to have her stay with us during her break from work.

The next day, a missionary couple from overseas came to visit. They are also very nice. They talked with our church about their recent activities and news and even sang some songs and played instruments from their country. They also tried to give me a language lesson, hehe. It was neat to see them again.

The next day, my brother and his fiancé came in to visit! It's always so great to see them :) They got their engagement photos taken and then we spent time hanging out the rest of the weekend. We made beer chicken on the grill and we ate at Red Robin for the first time. It was fun.

The next day, we traveled to Erie to visit my grandmother. She had been in the hospital with an infection, but is doing much better now. We stayed at her house and visited for a few days. I worked from there and we also got to see other family members, too. Dad also treated me to the local delicacy - Mighty Fine Donuts :)

After we got back, I had a few days at home to recuperate. I played Pokemon rather obsessively for two days straight to unwind :P I'm working on filling in my National Pokedex.

Last night, our church had a soup social, so I got to eat delicious clam chowder and then sing hymns with my church family. It was really nice :)

I woke up feeling drained this morning, so I didn't make it to church, but I'm trying to rest up and gain back my strength. Whew, it's hard to keep up; but there has been a lot of joy and blessings along the way!
