Challah!

"One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." Romans 14:5-8

With this in mind and a heart full of joy in the Lord - Jesus, the Savior who came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets - I spent last evening making challah. I started as soon as I got home from work and it came out of the oven around 10 pm looking as beautiful as the photo on the recipe website. Praise the Lord! :) I had never made bread before, so I wasn't exactly sure what I was doing, but I really enjoyed mixing, kneading, rolling, waiting, and baking it. My roommates gathered around to munch on the challah and drink milk before turning in for the night. What a blessing :)

"And Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst...' John 6:35
