I found the records that I've been looking for!

BT 100/128 - BT 100/134 at the National Archives in the United Kingdom.

...Now I just need to figure out how to access the information. I don't think I can afford to hire an archivist to list out the lookouts from every voyage that the Oceanic made between 1908-1911, but also I can't afford to fly ( Read more... )

What qualifications does one need to be an archivist? That sounds like an interesting job.

Archives is actually a specialization within Library Science. I could have become an archivist if I had taken a different set of classes in grad school.

I did take one archives course on Digital Records Management, but otherwise I took information organization/classification and user experience/usability courses.
