Title: What do on my own and with others
Colossians 4:2-6

Verse 2 - "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."

Prayer has power. So why do I always forget that?
Paul tells us to pray in an attitude that is not grumpy or despairing or lazy, but to be alert and thankful to God. We know all that things work for the good of those who trust him.

Verse 6 - "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

Making conversation is a skill I am not really good at. So, maybe Paul knew people like me and gave them this advice^^ It's a balance between grace - from a heart of compassion - and salt - from a spirit of truth. With too much grace, we give in and go along with people no matter what they say. With too much salt, we are not considerate of them. The tongue is a powerful tool, so I need to be careful how I use it.

One Word: Watchful and thankful in prayer; gracious and salty in speech

daily bread, colossians
