UFO Decathalon Progress

Feb 19, 2010 08:08

So, events update:

UFO #1 is still postponed due to "fog"--too much cruft on the sewing machine.

UFO #2 is still postponed due to "fog"--too much cruft on the cutting table.

Have been trucking out  cruft by the bag, and hope to have clearing tonight.

Meanwhile, UFO #3 has made progress: finished the initial design rows, tried on for length, and decided it needed more breathing space/length. So, stepped down one bead, and added 8 rows/4 chevrons to each side with 11, 11, 8 in the center rib (made one mistake with 3-11s that I chose to leave in as my "humility" row, because I didn't notice till I was 3 rows beyond it, and ripping out St.Petes is HIGHLY annoying!). Wove in all the thread ends. Still to go: purl, jump rings and clasp.

UFO #4 is a cocoon coat in red chennille jacquard, needing crocheted "fur" trim on the sleeves (pics tonight?) I have one sleeve about 3/4ths done, thanks to Opening Ceremonies and Gilmore Girls reruns.
