I don't post regularly at all, here, and I should. I feel so much safer posting here than on Facebook ( Read more... )

MEAT!
As I am carnivore, this is good!
Coconut apparently does not count as a nut, so I can have that. Coconut milk. I'm going to buy some and try making it into yogurt. Wish me luck!
Avocados. They are my comfort food, anyway. On the FODMAP I can't have them. On the Autoimmune Protocol, I can, and so I am trying that first.
I can have salads, and fermented veggies without chili, so no kimchi. I don't like saurkraut though so not sure what to have instead, but I do have Bragg vinegar. Pickles are ok. I can have cukes and stuff like that.
Most fruits and veggies, except nightshades, are allowed, and it's those nightshades that I miss. I have peppers and tomatoes ripening all over the place and I can't have them. But I'm missing them less and less. I know I react to raw tomatoes, so I don't feel too horrid about it. I can have all the melon I want, and I love melon and berries. I am not sure why mangos are ok, and cashews are not, though - unless I missed something in the book.
No nuts and no seeds is hard, for me. I depend on almonds heavily in my usual diet, since I bread things with almond meal and drink almond milk so much.
No coffee is hard. No chocolate is hard. But I rarely had them, so it's not so bad.
I miss them but I have no stomach pain, which is normally like gallbladder attacks all over my abdomen, which I have to take Vicoden for at least three times a week, even with the limited diet I was already on.
And I still have so much less joint pain. I am not sure what is going on with that. The OA is not bothering me, all the sudden. I am not stiff and hunched over and in pain and limping, as I have been for years. Many years.
My foot still hurts. That, I think, may be actually some fractures and torn tendons that did not heal well, but they won't do anything about that. And something vascular because I get blood clots on there all the time. But most of the rest of me is good.
I have migraines still, however, off and on. I am not sure why that is still so bad. I have upped my magnesium.
