my bad luck:
my dad's a computer guy, my fiance's a computer guy.
my last desktop would always try to start Netscape, just for kicks, every minute or so.
i couldn't use Microsoft Office on Rob's computer all summer while i was doing Cady School scheduling - all i needed for scheduling was a browser and excel and the school phone.
we just bought a lovely new laptop last week, which i really like.
yesterday and today it has crashed 3 times (it's not 10am yet)
yesterday we couldn't get the laptop to send to the printer at my parents' house, even after i joined their 'workgroup'
i need to get the files from my desktop to the laptop, and i can't share them over the wireless network. (at least not without a lot of help)
it's really nice to be able to watch the instant Netflix stuff wherever we want in the house, but the sound quality kinda sucks.
how am i supposed to get all of my music from iTunes, etc., off of my desktop and onto this? do i need to? can i just share it all? will that be incredibly slow? would i need to have my desktop on any time i want to listen to music on our laptop?
i just do'nt know.
maybe i'm spoiled, but i expect things to work out better than they do a lot of the time.
on the bright side, i fixed one of our chairs that got broken at game night.
