So, I got back from Panama City, Florida on Saturday and let me tell you folks it was an amazing trip. For those of you who don't know, I went there on a mission trip with my church, we gave out free pancakes to the spring breakers in the morning and at night gave free van rides and did street teams. It was an amazing way to show God's love to them in a way they could understand. I mean, it's well and good to talk about God's love but if we don't demonstrate it, how does it affect people? God set the presidence for it as well: Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Love without action can't really be considered love at all. Beyond the mission work though it was a cool trip, my first time to Florida, my first time in the ocean, saw my first palm tree, and I even turned 21, no, I didn't drink. Let me tell you though, this trip was a life changer, for myself and for numerous people we had the chance to talk to down there.
While I was down there I just witnessed God moving in ways I'd never even imagined, and it made him so much more real for me. I'm not really going to get into specifics because it would take way too long, but if you do want specific stories feel free to get at me and I'll talk for hours, but let me just tell you a little about it. Prayers were answered in amazing and powerful ways, hearts were broken, and lives were committed back to God. I saw God everywhere down there, he revealed so much of himself to me, through the sunset, the sounds of the ocean and my awesome brothers and sisters in Christ. God is just so amazing to me right now, and I really feel like this isn't over, God's moving all the time, and I think it just took that experience to help me realize it.
