I don't watch much television. That is mainly because if I started I would just sit in front of it and waste a lot of hours gaining nothing. I am not saying I don't waste time. Hell, I am typing up this entry while I am at work. If you watch TV it just seems to eat more and more of your time.
I like to keep my TV watching down to about 5 shows a week. This doesn't include sporting events or DVD movies. Right now it isn't hard only watching 5 shows. The states of TV is pretty bad. There are very few shows worth watching. Here is my list in no particular order:
- Deadwood: HBO series using non-fictional characters in a fictional retelling of non-fictional events. This show has a great deal of profanity. It is a really well written show, possibly the best on television.
- Sopranos: Another HBO series. There is a reason why I spend the money every month on HBO. Based on how the new season is going, I am glad this is the last season. Unless something changes I don't think I would come back.
- House M.D.: I just love the Gregory House character. The show is good because each episode stands alone.
- Battlestar Galactica: Best show on TV, 'nuff saud
- Lost: Well not yet, I got turned onto this a little too late. I watched the first season on DVD and am waiting for the second to be released. I hope I can consume the whole second season on DVD before the third season starts. If not I will have to wait again.
That's it. Right now 2 of the shows are in between seasons and one I can't watch until it comes on DVD. That leaves me with 2 shows. Got any suggestions on what I should be watching?
