sa-weeet! a hockey fan. I love nhl2k5. great pic. I notice an empty spot in yer game catagory. here is a few I have enjoyed this year and that you may want to take a look at:
STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT: a must for all star wars fans (especially if you have xbox live). rather than playing as a single character and reenacting one of the last 2 crappy movies, you play as yer basic soldier and you live all the battles that have taken place in any star wars film and a few that haven't (maybe yet anyway). your pic of the clone wars or rebellion era.
FABLE: one of the best and most fully allowing games I've ever played.
FIGHT NIGHT 2004: I don't even like boxing and this is a great, control simple, yet fight complex game.
SPLINTER CELL - PANDORA TOMORROW: if you haven't tried out any of the 2 splinter cell games, there's something yer missing

game flops:
X-MEN LEGENDS: run over here, punch this, run over there, punch that, repeat for 15 hours.
SSX TRICKY: I had this for PS2 and I absolutely loved it. I decided to convert it over to xbox since it was only 20 bucks and it would move faster. big mistake, the xbox coding is glitched beyond all hell.

anyway, I hope you have a great new years. take care and enjoy

Yeah I am a pretty decent hockey fan (Go Gladiators). I shouldn't have put NHL 2k5 on my list because season and franchise play always freezes up. But I am not much of a gamer which is evident by the empty slots.

I have heard bad things about Battlefront and good things about X-MEN Legends. They were both the Playstation 2 versions. Myself, I have been intrigued with the Battlefront concept and have been wanting to rent it. I WAS a huge Star Wars fan.

Happy New Year,
J

yea, I hear ya on the "was" part. I kept saying to myself that I'd never show my kids the prequals, only the original 3, and tell them that any kid from their school that even mentioned that an episode 1,2, and 3 existed, that they are liars and their mother's are whores. but after he shat on the original 3 when the dvd's were released, when they were perfectly fine in the first place, I dunno if I can even show them those with a smile on my face!
nhl2k5 freezes on franchise mode?! man, that's why I bought it. I played 60 games of a season on 2k4 and it froze up and I lost it all. I heard the problem had been fixed in 2k5.
I am actually really impressed that you can take the game on xbox live and hundreds of people have actually formed leagues. that's my definition of fantasy hockey. to play a game every few days against a guy you don't know or can't see, only hear, and then move on to a different person every game, take yer team to the top, and hopefully fight for the stanley cup. I think that's better than 82 games against the computer.

Oh you don't want to get me started on the DVD releases.....money grubbing bastard Lucas is.....

Then again I am being a hypocrit. I know that as much as a talk bad about it I will eventually own the DVD set. I will also go see the next film....at the midnight show....

I am very upset with the freezing. I worried that it might have been my Xbox but this is the only game it freezes on. It is very disappointed because I want to play franchise mode. However, the game is still great and still worth the $20.

I have played a few games online but no leagues or such. I probably should.

I probably should go to bed.

Regards,
J
