Yep, Still Alive..!
The past few weeks have ample reminder of what the first half year of having a child is. Everyone congratulates you, the shock hits and then lots of unfashionable parenting slogging behind the scenes - changing mountains of shitsoaked nappies, talking to a baby that gives you nothing back (until they learn to smile) and then hoping and praying that their sleep pattern isn't utterly horrendous. As babies don't give a fuck about your personal schedule, no sirree.
Apologies, I have barely had chance to post this, never mind catch up with LJ generally. Once again, I invite anyone who hasn't already done so to feel free to add me on Facebook/Twitter/Last.Fm (links on the profile) and/or comment below and let us know how you have been! I do want to know!
I also intend to return here and keep up with things but life at the moment allows me precious little time to tap away about my life on a laptop, nor read vast chunks of text, ooh the shame.
Although, the future will allow me such freedoms! So, hang on in there! I'm on the short-form social medias in the meantime, as I can't pump out paragraphs on my phone. Mind you, I'm also not getting sleep much beyond 6AM, the chance to eat a meal with my wife or even the chance to sleep in the same bed as her, thanks to sleep regressions from BOTH Travis and Sadie - this is the slogging I was referring to.
All this will pass, as they say.
