Drum Beats Sounds Like Eastenders..!
It's not been a bad couple of days and opening to my birthday week, sometimes I genuinely drag out the festivities that long, apologies I do a fair bit of revelling! I'm not 31 till Tuesday, for Christ's sake! But hey, here I am drinking from my first present (a bottle of port!)...
Last night, me and Thelma_viaduct went to see American Hustle, because we've heard bloody good things about it... and not just because spiffyfunpants 's recent Jennifer Lawrence post being stuck in my mind, for some reason...
It's a fantastic film, and why shouldn't it be? Bale, De Niro, plus the above mentioned Lawrence. Everyone in it is brilliant and it's a sign of a great film when you can talk about it most of the way home. I'm also trying to talk about it and not spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it already.
Tonight, I went for a meal with Katie and Helen, two of my mates from Uni, Katie's recently had a second child, Helen's moving to London for a new job and we're saving for a house. Despite occasional grown up talk like those bits of news, it was still such a fun night and we still talked about getting drunk and doing stupid stuff too!
Apparently, Katie says that Deal or No Deal's application is THIRTY pages long! What the fuck?!
Oh and this rather fantastic little petition has sprung up online, if you're not from the UK and unfamiliar with the Daily Mail, it's a right wing rag, with an obsession for young girls..!
