Wedding Party..!
So, me and thelma_viaduct had our wedding party at Band on The Wall in Manchester 3 weeks ago now, sorry been dead busy so haven’t been posting anything!
I think it was what we aimed for, the tone was more than informal and given that the night featured our mates' bands Black Dynamite (in their final performance together, which we didn't know at the time!) and Cheapskates, it felt more like a gig... with some speeches!
Oh, the speeches! The outpourings that apparently had my religious Godparents with their head in the hands, apart from Toni's Dad's one which was actually lovely! The trio of best men speeches featured the 'Poosleeve' and 'Coachminge' incidents for Toni, the time me and Stevo blocked a train toilet and a torrent of bad language and behaviour!
Stevo talked through a teddy bear as he couldn't possibly mention the stories directly, Neil hinted about Toni's intimate piercing and Vausey entered the stage by referring to Toni's "Twat piercing!" and ended by mentioning necropaedofelching amidst his own version of stand up comedy where he alluded to me and Toni one day living up to our heroes, Fred and Rose West. This was accompanied by a slideshow of photoshopped pictures!
To cap it all, my Dad groped one of our mates, Katie Royle, for no particular reason! Fun and games..!
Thanks to everyone that came down and had fun with us, including these fine LJ people: alanjdukes , gizzard , raketje slender83 , townsley_89 , and lillipilli.
It was an awesome night and rock/punk/indie/One Direction tunes went on till 2AM when DJ (again our mates, Mikey and Ander) were forced to cut short the final song of 'Fat Bottomed Girls' by Queen..!
It was an amazing night all round, according to pretty much everyone! We absolutely loved it!
