The gig on friday night went pretty well. None of us actually went over any of the carols before hand, thinking they were stadard, "stock" arrangments: boy were we wrong. it took us a while to get into the flow, but no one was throwing stones or anything. As the night progressed, we got some audience participation and even ended up recruiting a couple for the PFC. The woman has a great alto sound: very pure and her tone spins wonderfully! So that was friday night: EASY $100!!
I got the Holidays at Wagner College CD we recorded last spring, on friday, too. I'm very pleased with it. There are some sour spots but they are very few and far between. I'll get into more about that later (in another entry).
Last night was Phil's christmas party. It was a really nice time. The Grab was very unorganized, but it was good. I got a (stupid) S'more maker. At first I thought it was nice, but then I realized that there was no food or fuel included. kinda defeats the purpose of having a S'more maker. One of Phil's friends came over (my age...really cute) but sadly, he's engaged and currently living in Australia. The kid is UBER smart! 3 degrees from Brown University and going to school in Australia for Veterinary medicine. again, he's on 22! Maryann and I got closer...it turns out that she's know that I'm gay for some time now. Thanks for letting me know that you know, Maryann!! Tom and I had some good conversations too. But he still doesn't know. All in good time.
I have to go clean my room now...it's a MESS!!!
