(no subject)
so it's been a couple days since i've really updated. Let's recap what happened.
Work kinda sucked this week. I had to deal with Sandy all week without being able to make fun of her to Dee. To make matters worse, my hours got cut to 15 for this week. I was and still am really really pissed. But I told sandy (ugh) to keep me on call for ANY sick calls. I'm still hoping that someone doesnt come in. I really need the money. But it would be nice to have some time off.
Well, i was unable to resist temptation: I snuck some cigarettes in this week :( As a result, i have a slight cough. I really wish i had the strength to just stop doing it. I keep telling myself that if i continue to do it, my job (with the church) will be in jeopardy. i WILL DO THIS!!!
John and I had a really good conversation on friday night. We spoke about where we stand. Things are going slow, which is how i want it to be. We agreed that we want to see each other again but there are no labels...by all means, labels after one date would be quasi-psycho on both our parts. We agreed, though, that we would not consider seeing anyone else at this time. good deal i think. we both seem to have commitment issues and other stupid stuff. damn my lack of self confidence. things are good though, i think. we've talked a couple times in the past few days and i asked him if he wants to see the Handel and Hadyn Society production of The Messiah on sunday. I hope that they have a concert then and that he wants to go...
The concerts with the Philharmonic went well. there were some obvious parts that could have been a lot better...parts that i know the Wagner choir would have gotten realy really well...but that is what happens when you have a group of individuals who only sing because they love it and not becuase they want to make music their life and have an overabundance of raw talent. They're good, don't get me wrong, but i miss being in a group that doesn't have to be cued at EVERY single entrance and where sopranos dont' go flat...
That's about it right now, i guess. We got the tree today and decorated it tonight. It's pretty good. I didn't really like our selection at first but it's growing on me. Well, i'm off to bed, even though i don't have to do anything tomorrow to get up for.
