Good progress has been made

Got the shear cleaned up and attached hooked up the air so I was able to clean and wax the blade as well as the deck.  The compressor seems to be able to keep up even when I had several marks ready instead of stopping to mark between each cut.  I'm still going to try it with a reservoir setup to see if it helps the cut power any, but it was functional to use up all of my aluminum sheet.  The bed is currently at 35.5" and the sawhorses adjust to whole inch heights, so it worked well enough with the partial sheet of aluminum.  I cut the sheet I had left into 2 heater shields (one for techdragon  and one for me) 10 populace plaques, 2 device plaques, and a whole bunch of other panels that I should have ready to show in the next week or so.  Looking at the cut edges I can no longer tell what edges were factory edges and which ones I cut.

While the batch of populace plaques were in the oven I spent some time in the back yard raking out the beds and things while the kitties frolicked. Later I vacuumed the house and did a bunch of bookkeeping for GreyCat.  I will be merchanting with the populace plaques and soliciting shield orders at the Northshield Coronation in Fairmont, MN on April 9th

Yesterday I woke up with a bit of a catch in my throat, with the pain to my ear when swallowing, so I called in to work to take it easy. The basement had also backed up a bit late Sunday night and drains were running slow so I called a rooter and waited for them to show.

After dinner I went out and kicked the soccer ball and tossed the football around with the boys until the sun started hiding and the temp dropped more. Then it was in to play a few board games before they headed to bed and I headed to the couch to watch some No Reservations with techdragon.  The non GreyCat home time was good, although after tonight I won't get much contiguous GreyCat time until Sunday.

Tonight is a quick dinner out with alyska and then home to work in the garage on a few things while she goes to a meeting. Tomorrow is archery and heavy fighting practice, Thursday is dinner with alyska, techdragon, and a visiting jenx. Friday is some more games and time with PJ. Saturday is an all day SCA event up in Wausau, where there is the opportunity for some fighting.  Then Sunday is possible practice again and hopefully some powder time in the garage.

Still trying to get a lot of things done for the show at the end of May.  Hardpoints @ GreyCat Workshop will be vending next door to Alt.Kilt at International Mister Leather (IMrL) 2011 in Chicago with a selection of steel and powder coated accessories for the kinkier side of life.  Things that aren't on the site yet, but I cut panels for this weekend, are: powder coated (leather/bootblack/bear) pride flag plaques and a steel and aluminum storage chest. Both of which I hope to showcase by the end of next week.  I also have a few other designs I am working on along with trying to figure how much stock to make and bring and in which colors. I will have my color samples there for custom orders on everything as well, but cash and carry stock would be nice too. Something to offset the booth fee, hotel and parking ^_^.

Also, for those of you on Facebook as well you can like GreyCat Workshop there too. I don't post any on my personal area there at the moment but I am trying to keep the GreyCat page there updated along with the GreyCatWkSh twitter feed.  Both get some in-progress pictures of what I am working on.
