tell me what you're thinking about

today was an adventure... much like any other day.

so it starts with a phone call. eric calls me in the early morning (early to me, since it was probably like 9am) and tells me that he ran in to my dear, dear friend tone on the street. i guess tone was all like "they called the cops on me for no reason." it scared me a little. i don't remember the rest of their interaction. eric told me to go back to sleep, and i have a tendency to listen to eric.

then nikhil calls me and asks if i want to go christmas shopping. i say, "yes!" obviously. we take the bus to emeryville at like 1:30pm. on the bus, nikhil and i were talking just regular, not like rambunctious or anything, just regular. the bus driver tells us to quiet down since there are other people on the bus. yeah, no big deal, right? wrong. like ten minutes later, when neither of us are saying anything, she turns around and practically yells, "you need to keep it down. there are rules on this bus. i could call the sheriff and have him come on here and he'll tell you the same thing!" i thought we were gonna get sent top the principal's office so i tried my best to keep it down. at one point she randomly said, "it's raining," and then when she got off the bus she told the next driver, "good luck!" and left. yeah, seriously.

after all that, lunch was good (and part one of my two-part christmas gift from nikhil). we ate at california pizza kitchen, which out here you would seriously think they would just call it "pizza kitchen" right? well, no, it's still called california pizza kitchen. whatevs. i don't make the rules. we shopped, and by "we" i mean "he" since i was not buying anything. i had a free sample at godiva of their chocolate-covered peppermint marshmallow thing. i liked it. it started raining, and we left. you see, malls out here aren't indoors like normal... they;re just a bunch of shops in like a neighborhood setting almost. it's weird. but whatevs. we left, and we rode the emery-go-round, which is a free bus in emeryville, until we got to where the bus was going to take us back to berkeley. i guess we miscalculated and couldn't find the bus stop, so we walked back. i'm not a stranger to walking long distances, so the almost two hour trek seemed like nothing to me. plus, we talked about a lot of stuff, which was cool.

tonight was very laid-back. me and sandra got some gyros. afterwards, me, sandra, gilbert, and kevin just hung out and did whatever until like 3am when gilbert and i walked sandra back to her residence hall.

now i'm here and about to go to bed.

goodnight!
