Celebrations

3 Weddings in 8 days.  I consider survival a victory in itself.

Some wedding highlights.

#1 DS eating our tables wedding cakes filling with the cake server.
#2 Estranged parents willingly being photographed with thier son  (lowlight one bridesmaid still naked after the wedding was supposed to start)
#3 Lots and lots of celebrating - this wedding was a multiday extravaganza of celebrating for the 17 of us who stayed in Prospect house with the bride and groom.  (Realized I can't feel bad about a lame officiant when the master chef guest was served a marginal duck)

Yummy drinks -
Captain McKay (invented by the bride) Elderflower water, gin and lime.  Better than tonic by a long way.
Bacon and Rosemary Martini - and you get to eat the bacon when you finish your drink.

Far too much yummy food to mention

Things to do on ones birthday
Stay up talking and drinking until 4 AM
Eat breakfast out with the bride and groom (cinnamon apple cheddar omelet and mini potatoe pancakes are yummy)
Get to see friends that live on the east coast and thier 13 month old walking girl.
Sleep continuously from Pittsburgh to Vantage approximately on the airbus.

Things best left out on any day.
Tacky security measures around the liberty bell and Independence Hall.  The only benefit I can see to the obvious impermance of the portable fences and such is the hope that a new administration might figure out they aren't needed anymore.
Learning that Phila (most street signs abbreviate in this town for some reason) charges for parking on Sundays
Waiting an extra 80 minutes for US Air to figure out how to refuel their airplane.

Other oddities.
New Jersey.
Atlantic Ocean beaches charging to walk on them.  (I realized this after I was ten with the walk to step in the water and was back on the boardwalk)
The auto-stick on a Pontiac G6.
