I don't know if any of you appreciate the singular enormity of this event, but I just ordered a secondhand-but-good-condition copy of Melissa Etheridge's "Unplugged and More" offa the Internet. I have been looking for this excruciatingly rare import CD for, literally, years, on account of the fact that it contains the only extant 100% legal copy ( Read more... )

Wow. I think that listening to that would cause me to go into musical awesomeness overdose. I hope you are careful to make sure your ears don't die of despair of ever again hearing something that good.

Well, I've heard it before (certain radio stations have it in their library) and I have apparently been able to return to normal music listening afterwards with few side-effects. It is a bit of a stretch, though.

Yeah, I got it off of that guy's Youtube video. It's the best version of that song I've heard, and I like bruce's other version quite a bit. Of course, this has forced me to look up Melissa Etheridge, so I've got a new artist to follow. Thanks a lot.

This song? It is catchy. I've never heard "Thunder Road" before.

I'm not going to bother actually loading the clip (dialup) but from the notes, I believe you have the right version there.

I know, I could have started a Flash recorder and just done the recording-off-YouTube thing, but I guess that's not the way the lemur rolls. It's the principle of it.
