The stories of military coffee I could tell you...

Oct 23, 2009 10:50

Monday, I went to help my aunt and parents in moving some gutters to one of my dad's work sites. Was nothing huge, took me thirty seconds to haul the stuff up the stairs. We went for coffee (I had hot chocolate) at a local Starbucks, and I noticed that they were taking donations to send coffee to the troops. It's those little insta-coffee things that starbucks has been having lately. You could donate a three pack or a dozen. And if half the stories about military coffee I heard are true, they need all the help they can get. So I grabbed the darkest one they had (more caffeine), bought it and tossed it into the pile. Also scribbled a note on it.

Whether you agree with the war or not (I don't agree with some of the reasons and agree with a few others), you really should support the troops. It takes a special kind of person where normal people run away from incoming fire, these people run towards it. I respect them for that.
