laborious wheeze
Today has been hell. I took my first practice MCAT today, it was eight hours long!! I was almost in tears by the end from mental and physical exhuastion. It doesn't help that I just got my kidney* out on monday night. It was so weird...
I was on my flight back from Washington DC where i was visiting my brother and his fiance, and i started having these stomache pains... like not nausea, just pain. At first I thought maybe it was because I was wearing briefs and i hadn't in a long time and you know how guys' stomaches hurt really bad after they get kicked in the crotch? Yeah... but it wasn't that. I got home and took something to make it feel better for a while, but it came back at like 12am and I was writhing in pain around the apartment until like 7am when I asked maryam and nikki to take me to the hospital. Once I got there they gave me some morphine and that allowed me to sleep and feel OK. I liked it in the hospital- the nurses were so nice! But they didn't give me any pain killers. None! I was like... uhh i have three holes through my stomache muscles... Oh well... so I'm still pretty disabled. like you don't realize how much you use your stomache muscles. i can't laugh (which is the hardest thing to do sometimes) or cough or sneeze... and i look like a pregnant woman when i get up and sit down.
So now I'm just trying to recover... I've really been wanting to call everyone, ive been just sitting around the house cuz i can't really go anywhere (except class) but when your stomache muscles hurt and you can't laugh, it's not much fun to talk to people.
I had soo much fun over Christmas break! It was amazing. Anyhoo... Have a good week!
