Sadly, I just took down my "Pimp My Door" program poster. I was trying to leave it up for as long as possible bc it was so cool (I drew a door dressed up like a pimp). The program was last week though, so its time had come. My Bulletin Board of Doom for October will quickly have the residents forgetting about "Pimp My Door," though that program went very well. I had approximately 20 out of 34 residents turn out, most decorated, some just socialized. The program started at 9 (though some residents started earlier...2 girls told me they began at 7), and residents were still hanging around chatting until 11. An overall success, if you ask me.

I've been pretty sick the last few days...fever, headache, cough, naseau, chills...so I was pretty much confined to bed most of the time. On Tuesday I went to the health clinic, though, and they were actually nice in there, unlike the only other time I went. I'm feeling better now, though. I've been poppin motrin's a lot and they're helping.

In my Survey Research class on Tuesday (which we got a new professor to teach instead of it just being cancelled every week, by the way) we were coming up with possible topics to use when we create surveys. Out of nowhere, some kid raises his hand and says, "Vanilla milk." After we stopped laughing he continued, "They have chocolate and strawberry mixes, why not vanilla? I think that would be good."

Lately when I've been walking to class and passing by the back of Evergreen toward Oak and Laurel, I've been taking more notice of the squirrels that frolic in that semi-secluded grassy/treey area. Today, I passed by again and was thinking it must pretty sweet to be a squirrel, I mean what with all that aforementioned frolicking in the sun, plus playing tag with other squirrels and climbing trees. I like climbing trees. And there's no class or anything to worry about, you pretty much just hang out all day. They eat nuts and berries. I like nuts and berries. That's the life if you ask me.

Ok, bed time for me.
