Whoh...

Well, it's finally happened, kids.

Due to a very creepy situation where someone at work keeps letting me know that he knows, "Allllll about me," I've been forced to make my journal pretty much friends-only.

I've gone back and changed all of my previous posts for the last almost 4 years to "Friends-Only" using HIDE Journal ( Read more... )

A complaint to HR about this person's harrassment might be in order. Especially if you can do so without actually pursuing any action, just to get this person's behavior on the record. He's no doubt creepy to others as well.

Well, they could just as easilly dig into my LJ and find things about me to get on my case about, too.

I mean, we all do it. We Google people, we look people up, etc. But he just takes it to an extreme. It's really REALLY fucking creepy.

If he keeps it up, I'll just ask him to back off. And if he doesn't, I'll have to figure out something from there.

In the meantime, I'm not even sure it's worth keeping up the journal now. I loved how it was open and I could write anything and anyone could read it.

Kinda kills the point now.

eh.

My LJ is overwhelmingly friends-only with a very, very few exceptions. And it still works as a fun way to record my thoughts and get feedback from others.

I advise you not to give up on it entirely, in the heat of the moment.

Now that it's friends-only, they can't. And I agree you have lots of friended readers -- being read by random outsiders is not a good idea anyway unless you carefully limit your subject matter, which you don't. ;-) Don't let this stop you.
