I'm an Uncle Again.
Ok, for those of you that don't know, Aimee (better known as Z in some circles) was taken to the hospital on Sunday. She had Preeclampsia. Basically that's really high blood pressure during pregnancy.
Well they got her blood pressure down, and after a few nerve racking days it shot up again last night. They tried to induce labor. Unfortunately that didn't work, so they scheduled a C-section for 3pm today (Chicago time). At 4:30pm she was being prepped, and by 5:30pm I got a call from her Step-Father Dale saying mother and child are fine.
Little Helena is 3lbs, 11oz. Small I know, but if she has any of her mother's stubbornness in her she'll be a fighter and will be fine.
So CONGRATS TO AIMEE & SCOTT!!!!! Just in time for Mother's Day.
