Old News
This is a bit dated, but hey, multi-media!
So, something happened a couple of weeks ago that caught my eye, and put me in a delima.
First off, forgive me, this is old news in the wake of Don Imus being stupidm and thus becoming the media’s punching bag for the moment.
But before Imus decided Rutger’s Women’s basketball team resembled, “Nappy headed ho’s” Rosie O’donnell was accusing the British Government of trying to incite a war with Iran.
Now, I hate, I hate, I hate THE VIEW. I liken Rosie, Joy, Elisabeth, Barbara, and whatever guest host they have on to nails on a chalkboard, but in a talk show format.
It’s impossible to decipher what any one person is saying because all four of them are talking at the same time. Rosie’s a big bully. Joy, who’s not funny, attempts to shoe-horn un-funny jokes into conversations at the most inappropriate times, “Speaking of cancer, did you hear the one about…” Barbara is but a shell of the big time reporter that she once was. And Elisabeth, so young, so sweet, so innocent… wait, scratch that. She’s got the social sensitivity and moral integrity of Strom Thurmond and David Duke combined, and then some.
So, nothing makes me happier than when THE VIEW comes under fire. Which it did, when Rosie decided to say that she might believe in the new 9-11 conspiracy theories. Unfortunately the fire came from FOX NEWS
I hate, I hate, I hate FOX NEWS. FOX NEWS has the “fair and balanced” credibility of… well, I’m not sure what, I think they’ve actually trumped everyone in the lack of credibility department. I don’t take FOX NEWS seriously. It scares me that there are people out there that do. It scares me that there are people who believe everything Bill O’Reilly says might carry the weight of the Gospel.
On the plus side, FOX NEWS has hot women correspondents.
I would expect them to, because they’re the same company that came up with TEMPTATION ISLAND. I mean, aside from the fact that FOX NEWS has a handful of people brainwashed, I find them sort of entertaining. And there’s nothing better than getting your news about how we’re winning the war on terror, in spite of the House Democrats when it comes from news woman Courtney Friel.
So here we go. I hate FOX NEWS. I hate THE VIEW. The two are at odds with one another. Who do I cheer for? Who’s the big winner in all this? Well, it’s me.
It’s like I’m a kid again. The two biggest baddies are no longer attacking the good guys, but they’ve turned on each other, and all I want is blood. It’s like Megatron and Starscream going at it. Or when Destro tried to take power from Cobra Commander. You’re not really sure which one you hate more, but you know the fight is gonna be good.
In the end, I know nothing will come of this. Some bonehead will do something, and all of us middle Americans will turn our attention to hating someone else.
But I’m happy to know that there will always be Rosie and THE VIEW and FOX NEWS there to keep me both enraged, and entertained.
