(no subject)
Oh fun.
The last day of my lease is today. I found this out today when Chris and I went to the Leasing Office to ask how long we had left on the lease and they say, yea, your lease ends today, do you have your keys ready for us? I made a call to my mom and so we got an extension on the lease til Sunday, so I have to have the keys back by Monday or else we owe rent for another month.
Yea, Chris kind of bailed on me. He had an "epiphany" and decided that he wants to move to LA and try to pursue stuff there and will be able to pay rent for the summer but wont be able to live during the school year. Since we decided not to sign a new lease, then that's not a problem. It'll save him and my parents some money as well.
So I've been packing and throwing stuff away today. I have tomorrow off and Kevin is going to help me move stuff home. Which is awesome. I know you don't read this, but thanks Kev. So, yea, I'm moving in with my family. I'm actually really excited because even though I live like 25 mins away from school, I never go home. This semester I became homesick and visited my parents often. Whenever I had a day off on the weekend, I would go home and have dinner with my parents. It was nice cus my mom missed me a lot. Now she'll be able to see me all the time, which is good.
Hopefully I'll be able to find another apartment soon. Here's my options:
Best case scenario - I find a roommate and a place to live for cheap.
2nd best case scenario - I find a one bedroom/studio apartment for cheap.
Worst case scenario - I live at home and commute to school/work from Enfield for no rent.
So regardless of what happens I should be well off.
Living in Enfield for the summer! (That doesn't mean I can't drive to Hartford to drink with my friends that are still here!)
I'll be ok, it's just another minor bump in the road of life.
