Help help help.....pick me up I'm falling

So a whole bunch of poop is going on now (Sometimes I wish I was a cusser).
Friday night, I got into a pretty bad car accident. My car was totaled. Which is incredibly bad. It cost about $5,700 1.5 years ago. So I'm gonna be spending most of my summer trying to buy another one. I didn't plan on doing this.
One of the hardest concepts to grasp is that the accident was my fault. I was with my friend Austin and we were fooling around. We were laughing, the music was up real loud. I stopped at the red light in the intersection between comstock and 168th. I was on 168th and for some reason my brain took it as a 4 way stop because I probably saw the people on the other side of the road stop at the same time (There are a lot of 4 way stops in the GH). I started moving forward, and then we got smashed. She was going about 40-50 mph. I don't really remember spinning but I remember knowing that we got hit and just hoping in my mind that we could just stop moving. I remember hoping that we wouldn't get hit by another car. I opened my eyes and shouted asking if Austin was alright. He said he just wanted to get out - his side was smashed in. There was smoke all over the place. The lady in the other car was bawling. We all went to the hospital. It was my fault- like I said I didn't know what I was thinking. But we were all blessed to be okay. Maybe I needed this to happen to always be careful. I don't think I'm a reckless driver, I just made a mistake, and it cost me my car. :( I just have some abrasions and bruises. Austin had some glass cut his hand so he had quite a bit of blood on his hand- and his side was hurting. The whole thing was pretty scary.
Never got a ticket, now I have to pay a $100.00 ticket for the accident and $150.00 for the towing bill - oh and $330.00 for the bill that fixed the car that I used to have. So yes, I'm gonna be working a lot this summer. i got $200 for my car and I should get $415 in tax returns.
But still - buying a whole new car- bummer!
I'm having surgery this week but it has nothing to do with the accident. Weird though-
