Ok, you make thousands of dollars a year.
Hire movers!
Yes, yiou can hire people to do the heavey lifting without it going anywhere on a truck.

Yes, and we will almost certainly do this to get the furniture itself moved. It's all complicated by the fact that the lower level is crowded and there's not a lot of room to move stuff around, so compacting it is made a lot harder. (It's a little like defragging a hard drive that's 85% full.) I can probably get a couple of guys here in three-four days, but in the meantime the books and magazines and other smallish oddments have to be in boxes and stacked somewhere.

Big job, and I'm halfway to 60 from 59.

Wow.

Well, if it's any consolation, my friend Aurora in the Phillipines had to do her family's equivalent in, like, seven hours, as the floodwaters rose…

And the next year, they got flooded again.

Still… Wow. I'd suggest, don't even WORRY about blogging!

Let me second your sister's suggestion about movers. They'll get it done faster (even the unboxed books) and save your back.

You could also rent one of those pod storage units for a week and plop it on a driveway.
