Trying to apply logic to politics! How shocking! ;-)

Alas, there are many things where logic can be used. Politics is one where it can't. (Male - female interpersonal relationships are another, but that's a separate rant.)

I do like that idea. Combine it with preferential voting, and we might just have a democracy.

Ultimately that reduces down to Douglas Adams' observation - that anyone who wants an office badly enough to run for it, probably shouldn't have it.

I believe the last Democratic Iowa caucus winner to go to the White House was Jimmy Carter. I was reminded this morning that Bush won there in 2000.
