College

I've been neglecting to update this because of the obscenely small amount of free time I've had since move in day. It really has been crazy in a mostly good/slightly horrible kind of way, but my time back so far has at least been exciting.

Anyway, I moved in on the 24th (yeah I know that was forever ago) to my new apartment on campus. Room space is small, but I've got it set up where at least I wont feel like the walls are closing in haha
It's nice to be able to shut the door and just relax for awhile, without wondering when a roommate is going to come back and all that stuff. Not that it was a problem the last two years, but everybody needs time to themselves which can be difficult with roommates around all the time.

So as I may have mentioned the other day, I did the welcome week thing here for all the freshman and transfer students. Basically all I had to do was wear the t-shirt and direct all the new students to events. To be honest, training was the hardest part. Two days of straight training 9am to 10pmish which seemed to drag on forever. Not to mention the morning after the last day of training was move in day for the students, which meant we were all busy from 7am-11:30pm. It probably also didn't help that there was a party the night before all that. It was kinda fun though, telling people where to go, and trying to make friends with all the freaked out little freshman. I kinda wish they were freaked out, but in actuality they were pretty mellow and would just go along with whatever you said. There was no excitement for the events, but nobody rebelled when we dragged them. Whatever. If anything, I made a few close friends, and that alone was worth it in the long run.

Last night I went to a party with steph, jena, jeff and elena out in the middle of nowhere at somebodies house. Pretty tame; there was a band who sucked yet (luckily) the cops came to tell them to stop hahaha. At least they didnt come to the backyard to see all the alcohol and people hanging out. Aside from all that, it was nice to just chill outside in somebodies backyard by a little fire pit. Afterwords, Double-T ensued. How could it not?

My mom was planning to come up this morning but she ditched out, calling very early this morning citing fears of gasoline shortages. I really doubt any gas station would allow themselves to be out of gas regardless of the emergency in the mid south, considering the fact that they are able to up gas prices almost a whole dollar overnight. Either way, they're spreading the gas fears pretty well. Or something. I don't care.

I really apologize to anyone who notices I haven't been myself. I don't know if its just being back at school, the fact that I've been so crazy busy, or just because I'm in some misunderstood slump. I'll work it out I'm sure, I just don't want to piss anyone off in the process.

Bear with me
