'Don't Make a Bet if You Can't Write the Check'

+ So I really want to see Mamma Mia, I just haven't managed to find the time to do so. Maybe Sunday night after work. Since I'm keeping these ungodly hours right now. 5am-2pm today, and then 6am-3pm the rest of the weekend. My body clock is all wonky because of it. Stupid summer with stupid people taking stupid vacations. I'm not cranky, nope!

+ A month exactly until I'm off to New York City for two days. My friend just better not bail out, because I'm stuck with the hotel bill, and it's not remotely cheap. One night stay in a standard room and I'm paying like $280 total. And that doesn't include the parking fees, which is like another $50. Oh, and the rental car, since I'm not driving my own car into the city and risking it getting all dinged up in one of the parking garages. I'm anal, I can't help it, she's my baby.

+ Less than two months till Disney! I'm ridiculously amped for it and I have no idea why. Apparently I'm regressing into the mentality of a toddler.

+ I got my test results back from the ultrasound I had to get. It turns out I have something called an Infiltrated Fatty Liver. Apparently fat cells build up inside the liver tissue and start damaging the healthy cells inside the liver. It's treatable. Mostly with a crash cardiac diet low in cholesterol and saturated fat. The problem is, that's pretty what my diet consists of recently. I don't eat many fatty things at all anymore. And the doc was a little puzzled as to how I had this condition because my cholesterol test was perfect, even my good cholesterol was optimal. So I gotta wait six weeks and then get retested to see what's doin'. On the plus side, my sugars came down. The last time I had a fasting sugar test it was 121, and anything over 100 is considered pre-diabetic, with 127 being diabetic. Well my sugars came down to 97. So while it's still higher than I'd like it to be, it's a lot better than 121. Thanks to all of you who sent me well wishes, it was so appreciated. Cause I was really starting to freak out a bit. lol

+ Is my current icon not just the shiniest thing ever? For those of you not in the Soaps realm, that blue eyed goddess is Kirsten Storms. She was one half of my one big het soap ship years ago on Days of Our Lives. I had actually almost forgotten about Shawn and Belle, until the cast the other half opposite Kirsten's current gig over on General Hospital. So now they're chemistry testing them, and I'm certainly hoping we get another go around at a pairing with them. I'm obsessed, I can't help it. Come on, she's gorgeous!

health, life
