Ultrasound

We had our big ultrasound yesterday. I'm 19 weeks today, so one more week and I'm halfway there! :) Unfortunately, the baby wouldn't cooperate so we still don't know if it is a boy or a girl. Also, the tech couldn't tell us anything about baby's health, so we don't know if it is the right size, if the placenta is in a good place, if there is enough fluid, etc. I'm going to call the doc's office on Monday to see if I can't get an "everything looks good" over the phone. Otherwise, we'll get the results at our next appt on May 17th. I'm not a patient person and I am a paranoid person, so the idea of waiting that long does NOT appeal to me.

The good news is that we got to see the baby and we got to see and hear the heart beating again. 142 beats per minute. :) The tech also pointed out the organs he saw: stomach, bladder, 2 kidneys and a cerebellum. Woohoo! The baby has a brain! :D He also pointed out the femur bones, pelvic bones, collarbones, rib bones, backbone, skull, 2 eyeballs, nose and chin. We just agreed because it all looked like static to us. Except the heart beat - John got that one right before the tech even told us. LOL!
